KRISTIN KREUK SUITS-UP AS CHUN-LI
Team SFD has just learned that Smallville beauty Kristin Kreuk is kicking her way onto to the Street Fighter set as Chun-Li! And boy does she look good in blue!
Street Fighter: Legend of Chun-Li (tentative title) starts filming in Thailand this March (Street Fighter 20th Anniversary) and will be directed by Andrzej Bartkowiak, who is also known for directing Jet Li movies such as Cradle 2 the Grave and Romeo Must Die.
As mixed feelings of Lana Lang playing the role of "The Strongest Woman In The World" are being discussed throughout the Street Fighter community, we at Team SFD cannot be more thrilled to see such a young, beautiful actress who can clearly hold her own weight in stunts (as seen in the more recent episodes of Smallville). Many may argue against that, however every actor and actress strives to do their best, and we are confident that Miss Kreuk will surely pull through to achieve that character balance of grieving for the loss of her father and kicking-ass as an Interpol Agent. Now let's just hope that if she speaks a language other than English, its either Japanese or Mandarin (MainLand China dialect). Although, nothing can be worse than seeing a Hawaiian E-honda.
Stay tuned for more updates.
